Bring Your Foreign Company to the UAE — Branch or Rep Office
Expand under your existing brand, wholly owned by your parent company. Whether you need to trade onshore through a branch or build a market presence through a representative office, I handle the attestation, licensing, and setup end to end.
Expand into the UAE without giving up your identity
If you already run an established company abroad, you don’t need to start from scratch. A branch or representative office lets you enter the UAE under your own brand and track record — fully owned by your parent.
Keep your global brand
Operate in the UAE under the same name and identity as your parent — no rebrand, no separate corporate story to build.
100% owned by your parent
A branch is an extension of your existing company — no local shareholder takes equity, and your parent retains full ownership.
Trade onshore with a branch
A branch can carry out the same commercial activities as its parent and invoice UAE clients directly — real market access, not just a flag.
Test the market first
A representative office lets you build presence, market, and gather intelligence before committing to full commercial operations.
Leverage your track record
Your parent’s history, financials, and reputation strengthen banking applications and tender eligibility from day one.
Hire and sponsor a team
Your UAE entity can sponsor visas and Emirates IDs, so you can put a real team on the ground to run local operations.
Goal first. Documents second.
Whether you need revenue onshore or just a presence decides everything — branch or rep office. I settle that first, then build the attestation roadmap backwards from your target launch date so nothing waits on paperwork.
Trade onshore, or build presence?
A free consultation to decide between a revenue-generating branch and a marketing-only representative office — the fork that shapes the whole setup.
Build the attestation roadmap
Exactly which parent documents need legalising, in which countries, and in what order — planned early so it never becomes the bottleneck.
Appoint the agent & scope activity
National Service Agent arranged where required, and activities scoped to match your parent’s license precisely.
License & establishment
DED or free-zone licensing, establishment card, and registration filed and tracked personally.
Visas, banking & compliance
Team visas, corporate bank introduction, and ongoing compliance so your UAE arm runs cleanly.
What this actually buys you
Parent ownership
Your existing company owns the UAE entity outright — no local equity partner.
Unified brand
One identity across markets — your UAE arm carries the same name.
Market access
A branch trades and invoices directly in the UAE market.
No hidden fees
Transparent, itemised pricing agreed before any work begins.
Foreign companies I help land in the UAE
Established businesses from any market use a branch or rep office to enter the UAE — here’s where I see it most.

What’s the difference between a branch and a representative office?
A branch is an extension of your parent that can carry out the same commercial activities and earn revenue in the UAE. A representative office can only promote, market, and gather intelligence for the parent — it cannot trade or generate income. Which you need comes down to whether you’re selling here or building presence.
Can a branch actually earn revenue in the UAE?
Yes — a branch can invoice UAE clients and conduct the same activities its parent is licensed for. That’s the main reason to choose a branch over a representative office.
Can a representative office generate income?
No. A representative office is limited to marketing, liaison, and market research on behalf of the parent. If you need to sell, you’ll want a branch or a separate company.
Do I need a local partner or sponsor?
You don’t give up equity. A mainland branch appoints a National Service Agent for administrative liaison only — they hold no shares and take no profit. Your parent company retains 100% ownership of the branch.
Is the branch fully owned by my company?
Yes. A branch has no separate share capital or local shareholders — it’s legally part of your parent, which owns and controls it entirely.
What documents and attestation are required?
Typically your certificate of incorporation, memorandum and articles, a board resolution approving the UAE entity, and a power of attorney — each legalised through the relevant authorities and UAE mission. I map the exact list and sequence for your home country up front.
How long does it take?
The variable is attestation, which depends on your home country’s process. Once documents are legalised, licensing and registration move quickly. I plan the timeline backwards from your target launch so attestation never becomes a surprise bottleneck.
Can my staff get UAE visas?
Yes — your UAE branch or office can sponsor visas and Emirates IDs for the team running local operations, subject to your establishment card and activity.
Should I set up on the mainland or in a free zone?
It depends on where your customers are and what activities you need. Mainland branches suit onshore commercial work and government clients; free-zone branches suit international and sector-specific operations. We choose based on your commercial goal.
